ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul baseball team (0-4, 0-0 NSIC) continues non-conference play on Spring break as they head southwest for TIG SPORTS Tucson Invitational. The Golden Bears are set for seven games over the seven day span with play beginning on Friday Mar. 3-10 in Tucson, Arizona.
SCHEDULE INFORMATION
Concordia will face four different NCAA Division II opponents over seven days with breaks on Monday and Wednesday.
Concordia opens play with a pair of games on Friday against Malone (Ohio) at 4:00 p.m. and Adams State (Colo.) at 7:30 p.m.
For the weekend games, the Golden Bears will meet Malone for the second time at 10 a.m. on Saturday and conclude the weekend with a matchup with Walsh (Ohio) on Sunday at 10 a.m.
After a break on Monday, the Golden Bears will meet Walsh for the second time on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
The final two games will see CSP meet Malone for the third time on Thursday at 10 a.m. and NSIC conference opponent Southwest Minnesota State at 10 a.m. on Friday.

LAST TIME OUT
In the season-opening series against Washburn back on February 18-20, Concordia dropped all four games Washburn, with two of the four losses coming by two or fewer runs.
The Golden Bears led the Ichabods in three of the four games, including the first six innings in the seven inning game on Sunday. CSP trailed WU by as many as 12 runs in game four but used their best inning of the series in the top of the eight to cut the lead in half with six runs.
On the weekend, junior shortstop
Jaden Werner provided a strong hitting performance after slashing .400/.556/.733 with a 1.207 OPS from the plate that included seven RBIs, a pair of doubles and his first home run of the season in the series finale.
Junior third baseman
Bryce Nelson slashed .385/.556/.385, scoring four and driving two runs including three walks while adding a team-leading three steals on the weekend
Sophomore transfer left fielder
Noah Juliar impressed in his Golden Bears debut with a two-run shot in the game three and an RBI triple in game four. Fellow transfer
Chris Jacobs added another two-run shot for the Golden Bears in the series finale.
Junior right fielder
Nick Thimsen tied with Nelson with four runs scored on four hits followed by sophomore infielder
Koby McBroome, who reached home safely three times in a 2-for-2 outing at the plate.
Jonah Lewis leads all pitchers with four strikeouts in 6.0 innings followed by
Korey Dahlberg,
Christian Morel and
Eric Lundell, who each compiled three strikeouts against Washburn.
Overall, Concordia had a .377 team on base percentage, scoring 25 runs off 32 hits in 129 total plate appearances against the Ichabods. CSP was nearly perfect in stolen bases, snatching six bases on seven attempts.
