LAST TIME OUT
For the first time since Jan. 3-4, 2020, the Golden Bears secured a weekend sweep on their home court last weekend as they pulled off a dramatic 86-85 overtime win over Minot State before grabbing a 67-62 win over UMary.

On Friday, very little separated the two teams on the night as the contest featured a staggering 15 ties and 17 lead changes. The Golden Bears grabbed the all-important final lead of the night as junior Antwan Kimmons was fouled on three-point attempt with 1.0 second left on the clock in the extra session. Kimmons stepped up and calmly knocked down all three free throws to turn an 85-83 deficit into an 86-85 win.

Kimmons fell a rebound short of his second consecutive 20-10 game as he led all players with 21 points and nine boards while he dished out five assists. He was an uber-efficient 8-10 from the floor and 2-2 from deep while he also connected on all three of his attempts from the line.

On Saturday, the Golden Bears came out firing in the game's opening 20 minutes, leading by as many as 18, before seeing the Marauders battle back after the break. UMary managed to close the gap to three midway through the second half and again in the final two minutes, but Concordia held strong to secure the victory.

Concordia's three leading scorers all reached double figures in the contest as Antwan Kimmons led with 16 points while Marcus Skeete had 14 and Jacob Everson added 11. All three filled the box score in other areas as well with Kimmons picking up his fourth double-double of the season with 10 boards, four steals and three assists. Skeete chipped in eight rebounds while Everson had four rebounds and a pair of assists.

SIOUX FALLS SERIES HISTORY
The Golden Bears and Cougars are meeting for the 29th time in the all-time series this weekend as CSP enters with a 6-22 record against USF. Concordia's best stretch in the series came back in 2015-16 as they won three of four during that span, but the Cougars have won all 11 meetings since then. The Golden Bears have gone 4-9 in 13 contests in St. Paul.

LAST MEETING WITH THE COUGARS
Back on Dec. 17 in Sioux Falls, ran into a hot shooting Sioux Falls squad as they fell 100-66 at Stewart Center.

For the game, USF connected on 53.1% (34-64) shooting and 48.6% (17-35) from deep while CSP finished at 42.0% (21-50) and 26.3% (5-19), respectively. While the two teams each tallied 28 points in the paint, the Cougars utilized a 13-0 edge in second chance points and a 41-19 edge in bench scoring to supplement their advantage from beyond the arc in the win.

Concordia once again relied on the leading duo to carry the offense as Antwan Kimmons and Marcus Skeete combined for 38 of the team's 66 points. Kimmons put up 20 points on 6-10 shooting and 8-11 from the free throw line to go along with three boards and two assists while Skeete contributed 18 points on 5-7 from the floor and 7-8 from the line to go along with three rebounds and two steals.

SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE SERIES HISTORY
The Golden Bears enter this weekend's contest with a record of 14-32 against Southwest Minnesota State. After winning just seven of the first 32 meetings in the all-time series, CSP has improved over recent years with seven wins in the past 15 dating back to 2015, including wins in four of the past six contests. In 22 previous meetings in St. Paul, Concordia has gone 9-13.

LAST MEETING WITH THE MUSTANGS
In the first meeting of the season back on Dec. 16, CSP led for 35:44 on the night before a late push for Southwest Minnesota State resulted in a tough 67-63 loss.

CSP did not trail the entire night until a Cliff McCray layup with 34 seconds left followed by a pair of free throws before the horn gave the Mustangs their first and only lead of the game. It was a tale of two halves offensively for the Golden bears as they knocked down an efficient 55.6% (15-27) in the first 20 minutes before hitting 30.8% (8-26) in the second half. On the other side, Southwest Minnesota State was nearly even in both halves as they hit 52.0% (13-25) before the break and 52.2% (12-23) after.

The duo of Antwan Kimmons and Marcus Skeete combined for 31 of the team's 63 points as Kimmons scored 17 points on 6-11 shooting and 4-5 from the free throw line while Skeete finished with 14 points on 5-8 from the floor and 2-4 from deep. Kimmons added four assists and a pair of rebounds while Skeetw chipped in six boards, three assists and two blocks.

STAT LEADERS
So far this season, the Golden Bears have a few players that rank near the top of the league in several different categories.

Junior guard Antwan Kimmons has been a big-time contributor in his first season in navy and gold as he ranks fourth in the league and 23rd in the nation in scoring with 20.8 points per game. His 124 made free throws and 162 free throw attempts both lead the NSIC and both sit fourth in the nation. His 4.2 assists per game rank sixth and his 53.9% field goal percentage ranks sixth in the conference. Kimmons' 20.8 points per game sit 1.5 ahead of Terez VanPelt (19.3 in 2012-13) for most in single-season program history with more than 10 games played.

Sophomore Marcus Skeete has added 4.9 defensive rebounds per game and 129 total rebounds, good for ninth and 12th in the NSIC, respectively.

As a team, CSP ranks in the top half of the league in several areas as their 13.0 turnovers forced per game rank second in the league and their 9.0 threes made per game rank fifth. Their 12.5 free throws made per game also rank eighth.
