The Golden Bears put together an impressive performance in a tough road environment as they led by as many as 10 points on the night and held a one point advantage with 1:27 to play, but Ra'Shawn Langston provided the game-winner with a floater in the lane to seal the victory for the hosts.

CSP delivered their best shooting performance of the season as they knocked down 47.1% (24-51) from the floor, 45.5% (10-22) from beyond the arc and 90.9% (10-11) as they edged MSUD in all three. The Roadrunners, on the other side, finished at 43.8% (28-64), 42.9% (6-14) and 75.0% (9-12), respectively.

WSU SERIES HISTORY

LAST MEETING VS WSU
Back on Feb. 13, Winona State completed the weekend sweep of CSP as the Golden Bears fell 77-58 at Gangelhoff Center.

The second game of the weekend followed a very similar script as the Golden Bears closed the gap to four early in the second half before the Warriors ballooned their lead down the stretch to claim the sweep.

Sophomore
George Scharlau was nearly perfect from the field as the big man hit six of his seven shots for a career-high 17 points off the bench. Scharlau knocked down 2-3 from deep and 3-4 from the free throw line while chipping in six rebounds and two assists.

Marcus Skeete reached double figures for the fifth time in six games as he finished with 10 points while

ABOUT THE WARRIORS
Winona State opened the season strong with wins in their first three contests, including a pair of wins against region opponents, but have since dropped three of four against NSIC foes. After falling to Upper Iowa in the conference opener 85-72, the Warriors claimed a weekend split in non-conference play with a loss to MSUM and a win over UMary.

WSU has done a good job taking care of the basketball as their 9.8 turnovers per game and 1.42 assist-to-turnover ratio both rank third in the NSIC. Since December 2014, Upper Iowa has gone 12-2 in the series. Concordia's last win against the Peacocks came back on Feb. 22, 2020 in a 93-61 win at Gangelhoff Center.

LAST MEETING VS UIU
In the last meeting on Feb. 6 in St. Paul, Concordia dropped their second straight contest to Upper Iowa on the weekend as the Peacocks claimed a 99-74 win.

Matt Johns set the Division II-era school record with six blocked shots on the afternoon as the Golden Bears fell one shy of the team record with 12.

The freshmen duo of
Jax Madson and
Marcus Skeete paced the squad with efficient efforts as Madson scored 14 points on 6-8 shooting and 2-3 from three-point range while Skeete scored 13 on 6-9 shooting. Skeete made it three consecutive double-doubles as he matched his career high with 13 boards.

ABOUT THE PEACOCKS
Upper Iowa enters the weekend with a perfect 6-0 record, winning all but one game by double figures. In the conference opener with Winona State last week, UIU cruised to an 85-72 win on their home court.
