The Golden Bears dropped to 5-26 in the all-time series as the Vikings won their 19
th straight game against CSP. Concordia remained within striking distance throughout much of the first half, but Augie finished the half on a 10-3 run before carrying that momentum past the break.
The Vikings followed a similar script to victory in both games on the weekend as they used a 14-2 edge on the offensive glass to build a 15-0 advantage in second chance points while also collecting a 56-16 edge in points in the paint and a 29-2 edge in points off turnovers.
Concordia did manage to win the battle beyond the arc as they hit 9-31 (29.0%) compared to 6-21 (28.6%) for Augustana, but Augie was more efficient overall from the floor as they hit 35-77 (45.5%) while CSP hit 17-49 (34.7%).

Augustana led from wire to wire as they opened up the game on an 8-2 run to build a lead they would not relinquish. The Golden Bears shrunk the deficit to three at 12-9 six minutes into the game, but a 9-0 run for Augie pushed that lead to double figures. The two teams traded buckets for much of the middle portions of the half as differential sat at nine at 32-23 with 3:35 left in the half before another run before 10 of the next 13 went in favor of Augie to make it 42-26 at the break.
Johns opened the scoring in the second half with a three, but it was all Vikings from there as they pushed it to 30 with a 17-0 run over the next four and a half minutes. CSP chipped it down to 24 several times over the next few minutes, but they were unable to get any closer as the Vikings kept a comfortable lead. Eventually, Augie settled with a 91-52 victory to complete the weekend sweep.
The Golden Bears will head right back to Sioux Falls next weekend as they take on Sioux Falls on Friday and Saturday in NSIC action.
