Oslin and Lindberg named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Teams

Cole Oslin and Kara Lindberg recognized for their performances on and off the track

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) released their 2020 Academic All-American Men's and Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Teams this afternoon. Concordia-St. Paul athletes Kara Lindberg on the women's side and Cole Oslin from the men's team were selected to CoSIDA All-American Teams for their success on the track and in the classroom.
 
Recent CSP graduate, Cole Oslin, was named to the Academic All-America Second-Team for his career performances and 4.0 GPA. Oslin is one of four student-athletes in the NSIC to be named to one of the three CoSIDA Academic All-America teams.
 
Kara Lindberg, a 2019-20 junior on both the cross-country and track & field teams, was named to the Academic All-America Third-Team. She enters her senior year at CSP with a 4.0 GPA and as a school record holder for the indoor 3000-meter run with a time of 20:21.65. Lindberg is just one of two student-athletes in the NSIC to be named to a CoSIDA All-America team.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must carry a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade point average, have reached at least sophomore academic and athletic standing and be in at least their second full year at their institution. The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2019-20 Division II and III Academic All-America® programs.

  • CSP school record holder for the indoor 3000m with a time of 20:21.65 (2020)
  • Indoor career best in the 800m (2:34.60), 1000 (3:11.08), one mile (5:21.29), and 5000 (18:13.92)
  • Outdoor career best in the 1500 (5:02.50), 3000 (10:53.94), 5000 (18:29.72), and 3000S (11:21.32)
  • Cross Country career best in the 5K (18:47.2) and 6K (22:29.3)
