ST. PAUL, Minn. – Concordia-St. Paul head baseball coach Mark "Lunch" McKenzie has announced that Tuesday's doubleheader with Upper Iowa (8-20, 5-18 NSIC) has been moved to Veterans Field at Minnetonka High School. First pitch in game one is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

SCHEDULE INFORMATION
With Barnes Field not quite ready for action following last week's snowstorm, the decision was made to shift the series to the turf field at Minnetonka High School. Due to scheduling conflicts at Veterans Field, the games have been moved up to a 9:30 a.m. start time for game one with game two to follow shortly after the completion of the first game. Webcast and live stats will be available for both games.

LAST TIME OUT
Concordia opened the week with a pair of 5-2 losses at St. Cloud State before dropping two of three over the weekend against Augustana.

The CSP duo of Zach Lauzon and Blake Stelzer combined for the team's fourth shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory in the first game of the day on Sunday. As a staff on the week against two of the top offenses in the league, the Golden Bears put up a 3.23 ERA and a .254 opponent average with 25 strikeouts in 39.0 innings.

Zach Lauzon worked 6.0 innings of one-hit ball while striking out three while picking up a shutout win over Augie on Sunday. Cole Kirchoff paced the offense with three RBIs, four hits and three steals on the week as he finished with a .267 batting average and a .313 on-base percentage.

UIU SERIES HISTORY
The Golden Bears and Peacocks will be meeting for the 30th and 31st times in the all-time series as CSP currently holds a record of 19-10 in the 29 previous meetings. The two schools have not met since 2014 as the lone series scheduled over the past five years was cancelled due to weather. After Upper Iowa picked up six wins in the first 10 meetings, Concordia has rattled off 15 wins in the past 19 contests, including the last nine in a row. CSP and UIU have met just four times at neutral sites with the two teams each grabbing two wins in those four games.

LAST MEETING WITH THE PEACOCKS
All the way back on April 26, 2014, Concordia took both games in a doubleheader to complete a four-game sweep of Upper Iowa.

In a 2-1 game one win, senior right handed starter Adam Kramer went the distance after missing a start due to injury and was outstanding. He scattered six singles, struck out six and didn't issue any walks.

Kyle Dalton and Eric Fasnacht each went 1-2 with an RBI and a walk while Fasnacht added a stolen base. Senior Elliot Powell stayed hot at the plate, going 1-2 including the game's first run.

The Golden Bears followed it up with a 3-2 win in game two.

Poppitz led Concordia with a 2-3 performance at the plate while Beilke drove in two runs as he went 1-3. Fasnacht and Powell each delivered doubles, Fasnacht's sixth and Powell's third of the season. Eight different players had hits for Concordia, who only struck out six times in the doubleheader.
