BISMARCK, N.D. - The Concordia-St. Paul women's basketball team (8-4, 4-3, NSIC) fell 74-62 to UMary (8-2, 6-1 NSIC) at the McDowell Activity Center on Friday evening, snapping their winning streak of four games.

The Marauders maintained a close lead through the first half, and CSP was able to remain within striking distance, down by just five early in the fourth quarter. UMary then used a big final frame run to put the game away.

Lindsay Dorr led the Golden Bears with 17 points and nine rebounds, and now has scored 14+ points in all 12 games for CSP. Anna Schmitt also had 14 points, three rebounds, and three steals for CSP. Lexi Lee also reached double digits with 10 points for Concordia.

Gabbie Bohl led the Marauders with 20 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks. Cassie Askvig also had a huge game with 18 points and 17 rebounds, shooting 50% from the floor.

University of Mary was able to outshoot Concordia 45.2% to 35.6% from the floor and 41.2% and 36.1% from three. After CSP forced 11 Marauder turnovers in the first half, they only were able to force one to slow down UMary's high-powered offense in the second 20 minutes.

The Marauders got off to hot start in the first quarter, shooting 58.8% from the field (10-17). UMary used a 13-5 run to expand their lead, and CSP trailed 21-14 at the end of the first quarter.

The Golden Bears used a big second quarter run to get back into the game. Trailing 26-18 after a Bohl jumper with 7:04 left in the second quarter, the Golden Bears ripped off an 11-0 run. Four CSP players scored in the run, capped by layup and three-pointer by Riley Wheatcraft. The Marauders answered with an 11-3 run to close the half, leading 37-32 at the break. UMary had big advantage on the glass, out rebounding CSP 23-13 in the first 20 minutes.

The third quarter featured more back-and-forth play between the two teams. The Marauders' lead fluctuated between six and 10 points nearly the entire quarter. UMary led by seven (56-49) at the end of the third quarter.

After a Sidney Wentland layup brought the Golden Bears to within five points (56-51) to open the fourth quarter, UMary was able to take control of the game. The Marauders went on a 14-3 from 9:44 to 4:38 in fourth, expanding their lead to 70-54.
