ST. PAUL, Minn. – Concordia-St. Paul head baseball coach Mark "Lunch" McKenzie has announced that Monday's doubleheader with St. Cloud State has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the forecast.
Due to a high likelihood of a rain/snow mix and predicted cold temperatures in Monday's forecast, the two schools have come to an agreement to cancel the second day of the weekend's four-game series between the Golden Bears and Huskies. The forecast as of Monday morning indicated temperatures below 40 degrees as well as a 100% chance for precipitation in the Minnetonka area, prompting the decision.
Concordia is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday at Veterans Field at Minnetonka High School in a mid-week showdown with Bemidji State. First pitch against the Beavers is scheduled for 11 a.m.
