The Bears play next against Winona State and Upper Iowa at home on Feb. 9th and 10th

DULUTH, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul women's basketball team (7-17, 4-14 NSIC) fell to Minnesota Duluth (13-8, 10-7 NSIC) 61-44 on Saturday afternoon in Romano Gymnasium in Duluth. The Bears play next when they host their last two home games of the regular season next weekend, facing Winona State and Upper Iowa.

The Bulldogs got on the board first to start out the game, but Dorr quickly answered to tie it up. It went back-and-forth until UMD built up a five-point lead, but the Bears rallied and went on a 5-0 run, capped off by an and-one from freshman Ayla Lemke, to tie it up at nine apiece. Duluth scored once more before the period ended, leading 11-9 heading into the second frame. Dorr led the Bears in the quarter, scoring four points.

Starting the second quarter, Minnesota Duluth scored the first six points, to stretch their lead to eight. The teams traded baskets from there, and the Bears headed into the halftime break trailing 29-20.

The Bears were outscored 19-10 in the third quarter, which allowed the Bulldogs to hold onto their double digit lead for the entire ten minutes. Miller was the most successful for the Bears in the period, scoring five. The Bulldogs kept their comfortable lead through the fourth quarter and went on to win 61-44.
