WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Concordia-St. Paul (6-3) never trailed in picking up a 17-6 road win at Keiser (0-7) on Tuesday afternoon on a 82 degree sunny day in south Florida at Arrigo Vecellio Field.
Both teams are in their inaugural season of women's lacrosse, with CSP at the NCAA Division II level and Keiser competing in the NAIA.
The Golden Bears have won three games in a row for the first time in program history and are currently 4-1 during a seven game road stretch with a 2-0 record on the four game spring trip to Florida.
The road trip turns from NAIA competition to a strong Division II opponent this Thursday as CSP heads to Melbourne, Florida to face #12 Florida Tech before ending the trip on Saturday at Tampa University.
Concordia's defense helped keep the field tilted towards the attack for much of the afternoon as the Golden Bears attempted 47 shots while limiting the Seahawks to just 13. Concordia also totaled 43 ground balls to Keiser's 28 and forced 37 Seahawk turnovers while committing 26.

Maddie Hentges scored less than two minutes into the game and assisted on sophomore
Sheala Osborne's goal less than 30 seconds later to establish the early lead. That set the tone as Concordia would lead the rest of the game behind Hentges who established a program first with a seven point performance, scoring four goals and assisting on three others.
After Keiser got on the scoreboard just over five minutes into play, junior
Kallie LaValle scored her eighth goal of the year on
Riley Burns' fourth assist. LaValle scored a pair of goals in the game, putting in the final goal of the day with just under six and a half minutes remaining on freshman
Kaci Reid's second assist, giving her eight on the year.
LaValle, who also had an assist and Hentges with her three assists in the game give CSP three players with a team-high eight on the season along with Reid.
With a 4-1 lead, freshman
Kailey Heinl took control by scoring a man-up goal with just under 15 minutes to play in the half and added another with just under 30 seconds to go in the half as the two defenses held firm for a majority of the second part of the opening half.
After a 5-1 lead into the break, Heinl scored quickly just over a minute into the second half on a Hentges pass to close out a 4-0 CSP scoring run as Heinl scored the final three goals of the run to build a 6-1 lead early in the second.
Heinl scored five goals in the game and has a team-high 29 goals, adding an assist for her second 6-point game in a row and leads the squad with 32 points on the season.
Hentges is second on the team in goals (21) and points (29) and her three assist performance tied Burns' single game high established in the inaugural game against Northland (2/10).
Keiser would get back into the game by scoring four of the next five goals to trim the margin to just two, 7-5 with 19:15 to play in the game.
Heinl responded with a goal as CSP scored three in a row for a 10-5 lead. Keiser would only score once more with 14:17 to play to cut the gap back to 10-6 with Concordia burying the final seven goals of the game with Hentges scoring three with one assist down the stretch while freshman
Alina Boyce converted a pair and had an assist as well.
Boyce finished with four points (2g, 2a) and has 24 on the year (19g, 5a).
Freshman goalie
Katie Lottsfeldt held strong in the cage to improve to 6-3, only needing to make one save in the first half before stopping four shots in the second. Her counterpart in the opposite cage, Mary Reich made an impressive 20 total saves with 15 coming in the first half in the losing effort.

Brooke Genzler returned to the lineup after missing three games and made an impact on the defensive end with six caused turnovers and five ground balls.

Maya Hernandez had five ground balls and a pair of assists while LaValle led the team with five draw controls.
Concordia's attack was efficient, picking up assists on 13 of 17 goals with two coming off free position shots, leaving only two unassisted goals in the game while Keiser did not register an assist.
Keiser was led by Frankie Parshall's three goals although CSP forced her into seven turnovers and six fouls.
