Freshman
Bryndan Matthews led the Golden Bears by recording his first career double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds (five offensive) in 35 minutes of playing time.
Concordia's three guards logged impressive playing time on a Saturday night in the Northern Sun as junior

Last night, senior posts
Shea Mandli and
Mike Yahnke punished Minnesota Crookston down low, leading to a huge advantage on the glass and in second chance scoring. Tonight, Concordia once again had a strong rebounding advantage (41-30) including a 14-7 edge on the offensive glass. But the three starting guards played a strong role with 22 rebounds and eight offensive.
Mandli ended up with 12 points and three rebounds while Yahnke added seven points and seven rebounds along with a pair of rejections.
DJ Anderson led Bemidji State with 17 points and seven rebounds while Calvin Harrington scored 13 points.
Concordia had six players dish out a pair of assists including all five starters along with freshman
Brandon McRoy off the bench while redshirt freshman
Matt Ambriz led the team with three assists while also draining a pair of key second half three-pointers to help hold off a Bemidji State run.
The Golden Bears led nearly the entire night, with just one tie and no lead changes and Concordia being credited with the lead for 38:34 of the 40 minute contest. Concordia led by as many as 19 points early in the second half (40-21) after taking a 38-21 lead into the break.
Bemidji State countered with an 11-0 run to put the game in single digits with just under 14 minutes to go and dropped the margin to seven two and a half minutes later. But a three-point play by Mandli pushed it back to double-figures before the first of Ambriz's two three-pointers made it a 13-point game with 8:14 left.
With under five and a half minutes to play, freshman
OC Omoregie had a strong finish at the rim as he cut through the middle of the lane for a bucket to make it 56-41.
The Beavers were able to trim it to single digits one more time, but not until there were 38 seconds left in the contest as Concordia held on by hitting 75.0 percent (18-24) at the foul line for the night to ice the game.
