ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia-St. Paul head baseball coach
Mark "Lunch" McKenzie has announced that this weekend's series against St. Cloud State has been moved to Veterans Field at Minnetonka High School. Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 3 p.m. with Sunday's first pitch at 12:30 p.m.
The series relocation delays Concordia's home opener for the second consecutive weekend as Barnes Field remains under snow. As of Monday afternoon, weather forecasts indicate temperatures in the mid-40's on Saturday and mid-50's on Sunday.
Concordia is 10-2 overall and 2-0 in the Northern Sun and ranked #9 in the latestÂ
NCBWA Central Region Poll (released today) while St. Cloud State was ranked #17 in the March 17 Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Top-30 Coaches Poll and is #5 in this week's NCBWA Central Region Poll. The Huskies are 13-4 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC, taking two of three from Winona State over the weekend.
Concordia has won five straight contests after starting the year 5-0.
This weekend's games will be available to be viewed online, pending network availability at the facility, with Dan Flanagan calling the play-by-play for the Golden Bears.
