ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia Unversity track and field team heads to Gillett Rec Center at Bemidji State this weekend to take part in the NSIC Indoor Championships. The Golden Bear men's team enters the weekend with 14 points from the NSIC Multi Championships.

The men's team needs just four more points to eclipse last season's mark of 17.5 points. Armed with three school records so far in the 2014 indoor season, the team is poised to ecplise last year's indoor total. The women have already topped five indoor school records including two athletes breaking the 200 meter dash making the total even more impressive as each squad carries positive force into the weekend.

LEADING RETURNERS FROM 2013 NSIC INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
Last year, Nic Rudolph had a strong performance in the Indoor Championships with a top-five finish for the Golden Bears, taking fourth place in the 1000 meter run. His time of 2:33.67 was just over a second from third place and All-Conference honors, and was five seconds better than his previous personal record. Bryan Elyea-Wheeler also had a solid showing as he finished eighth by clearing a mark of 4.49m.

On the women's side, Michelle Ndely brought home a seventh place finish last year in the NSIC Indoor Championships in the 60m hurdles.

HIGH RANKS ON 2014 NSIC PERFORMANCE LIST
Entering this year's championships, Gloria Williams ranks third in the 200m and fifth in the 60m while Alyssa Christianson ranks seventh in the 200m and fourth in the 400m on the NSIC's 2014 indoor performance list. Ndely sits in the third position in the league in the 60m hurdles

On the men's side, Tyler Naumowicz is in seventh in the 60m hurdles, Bryan Elyea-Wheeler and Brent Gustafson are in fourth and fifth in the pole vault, and Mike Cullen is fifth in the shot put
