ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia University soccer team (2-4-1, 2-2-1 NSIC) will look to build on their three-game unbeaten streak as they host Northern State (3-5, 2-3 NSIC) and MSU Moorhead (2-5, 1-4 NSIC) this weekend.

Webcast and live stats will be available for both of the weekend's matches.

The Golden Bears enter the weekend following their home opening weekend in which they went 1-0-1 against Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State. CU opened their home slate with a 0-0 tie last Friday night against the Golden Eagles as they out-shot UMC 17-12 and 6-3 on net. Sunday's match with Bemidji State also appeared to be headed to a draw until McKenzie Buck struck in the 82nd minute to give the Golden Bears a 1-0 win.

Junior keeper Emma Gartner has been stellar in net over the three-game unbeaten streak as she has only allowed one goal combined during that stretch. She was especially solid this weekend as she picked up two straight shutouts. Gartner collected eight saves, including several highlight-reel efforts, while facing 22 total shots and 10 corners.

Concordia historically has struggled against Northern State as they hold a record of 3-13-1 in 17 matchups. The Golden Bears have had more success recently as they have won two out of the last three meetings. Last season, the Wolves upended CU 1-0 with a goal in the 77th minute. Alahna Anderson was active with five shots (one on goal) in the loss for Concordia.

CU holds a solid 11-5-2 mark against MSU Moorhead and have won five straight in the series. The Golden Bears have outscored the Dragons 13-4 during that stretch. Last year, Alahna Anderson provided the lone goal as she buried a shot into the back of the net just over a minute into the game. Kayla Kuczaboski picked up the shutout in net for the Golden Bears.
