ST. PAUL, Minn. - This weekend, Concordia men's basketball (4-12, 1-11 NSIC) looks to break a five game skid on the road against Upper Iowa (8-10, 6-6 NSIC) on Friday night at 8 p.m. in Fayette before heading to Winona State (15-4, 10-2 NSIC) on Saturday for a 6 p.m. tip.
Concordia is paced by the league's scoring leader,
Terez VanPelt, coming into the weekend averaging a school record 19.7 points overall and an even better 20.8 points in Northern Sun play. He's also the newest member of the 1,000 point club, reaching the milestone last Friday against Wayne State.
Reinserted into the starting lineup, sophomore
Shea Mandli has been hot of late, shooting 68.1% (15-22) over the last four games to average 9.3 points during the spurt.
The Golden Bears are seeking their first road win with an 0-5 mark on the year and a six-game losing streak overall dating back to last year's NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament loss at St. Cloud State (2/27/13).
