This week, Concordia opens conference play with a doubleheader against Minnesota State at the Savage Sports Center at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning. This weekend, Concordia is expected to face Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston on Friday and Saturday at Savage Sports Center.
Since moving to Division II for the 2000 season, Concordia is 13-24 against Minnesota State but won the two most recent meetings in Mankato, Minn. last spring in the NCAA regional … those wins snapped MSU's five game win streak against Concordia in a stretch that included eight wins in nine games for the Mavericks in the series … against Minnesota Crookston, the Golden Bears are 25-1 and have won 22-straight against UMC dating back to April 20, 2002 … Concordia is 25-3 against BSU but the Beavers have enjoyed more recent success in the series, as the teams split last April in Bemidji and split in March, 2009 at Carlander Field.
