This weekend's series against Minot State canceled
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia University head baseball coach Mark "Lunch" McKenzie has announced that this weekend's series against Minot State has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions and continued poor spring weather.

The series had been moved to Veterans Field at Minnetonka High School, but officials at the high school indicated that due to the continued cold, the field is not yet capable of hosting games.

The Golden Bears look ahead to next weekend, Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 against Bemidji State for the NSIC opening series, a four game set with Bemidji State. Those games are scheduled for Veterans Field at Minnetonka High School as well, with 11 a.m. start times each day.

When Concordia returns to action, it will be riding a four game winning streak and a 7-5 overall record. Bemidji State is currently in the midst of a five game winning streak and 9-7 overall. BSU's opening weekend series at Winona State was canceled as well.

There are tentative plans to webcast the four game series, depending on the Concordia softball schedule as the teams will share webcasting resources and staff. More details for online coverage will be announced early next week.
