ST. PAUL, Minn. - This weekend, the Concordia women's basketball team (15-5, 13-3 NSIC) returns home to take on the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles (7-13, 4-12 NSIC) and the Bemidji State Beavers (9-11, 5-11 NSIC) at the Gangelhoff Center.
The red-hot Golden Bears come in riding a seven game winning streak and they have won 13 of their last 14 games overall after another road sweep in North Dakota. The Bears beat the Minot State Beavers in their first ever meeting on Friday before taking down the University of Mary on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles took a weekend sweep of their own last weekend, defeating Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State on their home court. The sweep snapped a seven game losing streak for UMC and they hope to bring that momentum to St. Paul.
The Beavers, on the other hand, split a home series with Southwest and Sioux Falls. The Beavers went 2-2 in their recent homestand. They will look to improve on their 1-6 mark on the road in NSIC play.
Sophomore
Anika Whiting (Ashland, Wis. ) will look to continue her strong play this weekend, coming off two games of 20-plus points last weekend. Whiting currently ranks third in the league in scoring at 18.3 PPG.
Both games will be available to watch online via the links above.
