LAST TIME OUT... Concordia had a pair of impressive wins on the road as they took down #10 Augustana and #17 Wayne State.  The Golden Bears trailed at half against the Vikings 37-29 on Friday, but CU battled back in the second half.  Concordia took their first lead of the game at 54-51 following a 13-2 run, but Augie stormed back to take a 64-58 lead with just under six to play.  The Golden Bears closed the game on a 13-5 run, only allowing one made field goal, to claim a 71-69 win.  Saturday night, the Golden Bears once again fell behind big in the first half, trailing by 11 with 3:48 left in the first.  The two teams went back and forth in the second half before CU scored seven straight to take a 52-49 lead.  Late free throws and a WSC bucket pushed it to a final score of 57-54.

As the travel partner for the Golden Bears, the Mavericks are also coming off a weekend against the Vikings and Wildcats.  MSU, however, didn't fare as well as they were swept on the weekend.  Wayne State knocked off Minnesota State 79-64 on Friday and the Vikings finished off the sweep with an 86-82 win on Saturday.

CHASING HISTORY... Whiting topped 1,000 career points on Friday, the 24th player in program history to top the milestone.  Whiting was a force in Concordia's two huge road wins this past weekend against No. 10 Augustana and No. 17 Wayne State.  She averaged a double-double with 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting 50.0% from the field and going 8-8 from the free thrrow line.  She scored a season-high 25 points on 9-16 from the floor and 6-6 from the line and grabbed 10 boards on Friday in the thrilling 71-69 win over the Vikings.  She was named the NSIC Player of the Week.
