Last weekend, Concordia moved to 15-1 and 7-0 on the season with a pair of sweeps against the Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State.  The wins moved the Golden Bears' winning streak to 13 overall and 21 in NSIC regular season play and extended winning streaks against UMC and BSU to 24 each.

The Golden Bears meet the Wildcats for the 36th time dating back to 1999.  Concordia is 25-10 all-time against WSC including a 3-0 record last season.  Concordia and Wayne State met in the Holiday Inn and Suites Lake Elmo Volleyball Tournament on the opening weekend of the season and the Wildcats handed the Golden Bears their only loss of the year in four sets.  Cori Hobbs had 20 kills and Leisa McClintock had 53 assists and 10 digs for WSC.  Emily McDonough's 15 kills were a team-high.

The Wildcats come in riding a two match losing streak after dropping a five set match to Northern State and a straight set match to #8 Nebraska-Kearney.  WSC began the weekend with a sweep of MSU Moorhead before dropping the match to the Wolves on Saturday.  Tuesday's loss came in a non-conference match with UNK on Tuesday.  Cori Hobbs leads the team with 198 kills (3.67 per game) and Leisa McClintock has 557 assists (10.31 per game), 102 digs and 69 kills.
Concordia comes into the match riding a 17 match winning streak against Augustana that stretches back to 1988 when Augustana picked up their only win against CU in their first meeting.  Concordia swept the Vikings in three matches last season.

The Vikings have won five straight matches after picking up a pair of wins over Northern State and MSU Moorhead this past weekend.  The Dragons took Augie to five sets but Augie was able to pull it out.  Holly Hafemeyer has a team high 221 kills (4.17 per game) and Courtney Ysker comes in a close second with 214 kills (4.04 per game).  Setter Marissa Johnson leads the NSIC with 680 assists (12.80 per game).
