ST. PAUL, Minn. - This weekend, the Concordia women's basketball team (13-5, 11-3 NSIC) hits the road and heads to North Dakota to take on the Minot State Beavers (9-9, 5-9) and the Mary Marauders (13-7, 8-6) for a pair of NSIC games.
The Golden Bears come into the weekend riding a five game winning streak and they have won 11 of their last 12 overall. Friday's meeting with Minot State is the first ever meeting between the two schools on the hardwood as the Beavers are in their first season in the NSIC. Minot comes into the matchup after a weekend split with St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth. The Beavers have won three of their last five games at the MSU Dome.
The University of Mary comes in having won five of their last seven games and had their five game home winning streak snapped last Saturday by St. Cloud State.
Concordia's defense has been stifling over the past few weeks, holding opponents to under 30% shooting in all of their last four games.
