ST. PAUL, Minn. - This weekend, the Concordia women's basketball team (11-5, 9-3 NSIC) returns home to take on two solid NSIC South Division foes as the #8 Augustana Vikings (14-2, 10-2) and the Wayne State Wildcats (11-5, 7-5) come to the Gangelhoff Center.

The Golden Bears come into the weekend trailing Augustana, the leader in the NSIC standings, by only one game.  Friday's game will provide CU an opportunity to pull even with a win.  Both teams come in red-hot with the Vikings winning their last five games and the Bears winning eight of their last nine.

Wayne State comes to town after a tough 57-54 loss at home against U-Mary.  They look to get back on track and back into the playoff hunt as they come into this weekend's games two games behind CU and three games behind Augustana.

Furthermore, Wayne State and Augustana will make trips to Mankato, Minn. to face Minnesota State in a key weekend for all four teams involved.

Concordia looks to continue their solid defensive play coming off a three-win week in which they held their opponents (UMD, SCSU and Minnesota State) to a combined 30.5% from the field.

Golden Bear junior Rachel Hansen (Eagan, Minn. ) is coming off a triple-double line of 13 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds against St. Cloud State to cap off a week in which she averaged 14.0 points, 9.7 assists and 9.0 boards.

Friday night is also Ugly Sweater Night at Gangelhoff Center so make sure to wear your ugliest sweater for a chance to win prizes.
