ST. PAUL, Minn. - This weekend, the Concordia women's basketball team (9-5, 7-3 NSIC) faces another pivotal weekend of conference basketball when they travel to Minnesota Duluth (10-4, 7-3) on Friday night and St. Cloud State (11-3, 7-3) on Saturday late afternoon.
All three teams possess identical 7-3 conference records, as does Concordia's travel partner, 20th-ranked Minnesota State. SCSU and UMD are tied for first in the North Division, while Concordia and MSU are tied for second in the South Division, each trailing #12 Augustana by a game.
While the Bulldogs and Huskies are not ranked, their season profile fits the same challenge the Golden Bears have aced during the past month which includes a 5-1 record and three wins over ranked opponents.
Concordia is coming off a such win, defeating #20 Minnesota State on Tuesday night at home by a 19-point margin (85-66).
The Golden Bears are led by sophomore
Anika Whiting (Ashland, Wis.), the league's scoring leader at 19.7.
