Concordia Prepped for May Madness
MANKATO, Minn. - After getting on the field for their practice session the Golden Bears (30-21) are ready to take aim at an NCAA Central Region this weekend. Concordia will open up the tournament tomorrow with an 11 a.m. match up against Minnesota Duluth. Concordia and the Bulldogs split the season opener for the Golden Bears earlier this year.

Concordia and Minnesota Duluth will be joined in the regional by Minnesota State Mankato and Fort Lewis. The winner of this double elimination tournament will move on to super regionals, a best two out of three playoff against the winner of the other regional out in Sioux Falls, S. D.

The Golden Bears will try to get past UMD in the tournament opener tomorrow morning in a the 2/3 match up in the regional. If they will they will play at 11 a.m. on Saturday against the winner of Fort Lewis and MSU Mankato. The two losing teams on Friday will play in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. The second elimination game will be follow the 1:30 p.m. matchup on Saturday with the Championship match up on Sunday.

All of Concordia's games will be on NMTV.com thanks to the NCAA. Dan Flanagan will on the play by play with a one camera set up being used. The video will be set up a just outside the backstop a few steps down the third base line.
