SIOUX FALLS, S. D. - The Golden Bears are in Sioux Falls for their practice session on Thursday as they get ready to kick off their best of three series with the Augustana Vikings on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Concordia will try to reach the NCAA Elite Eight with a pair of wins against the #16 Vikings.

Concordia has not reached the NCAA Elite Eight since 2005 but have an opportunity to do so this weekend if they can find a way to beat the highly powerful Augustana Vikings. Augustana does have some strong pitching as well but the Golden Bears have been lively since the final regular season home stand and have got great efforts from
Ashley Kluever (Cottage Grove, Minn.) in the circle.
In the first game of the best of three series, CU will be the visitor and hope they can find a way to get on top early. Last week
Brynn Larsen (Oconto Falls, Wis.) hit a grand slam in the top of the first against Minnesota Duluth that started the great weekend for Concordia in Mankato.
