PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Concordia-St. Paul volleyball team is set to match up with a familiar postseason foe in the 2012 NCAA Division II Championship match today – Tampa University. The Golden Bears (32-4) and Spartans (32-3) will meet in the national tournament for the third consecutive season tonight at 7:00 p.m.
 
Concordia defeated Tampa 3-0 last year in the semifinals and in 2010, the Bears won 3-1 for the national championship in Louisville, Ky. The Spartans' last postseason victory over CU came in the 2005 semifinals as they won 3-2, but then lost in the championship match.
 
In eight meetings between the two teams, Concordia leads the all-time series 5-3 and holds a 2-1 advantage in postseason play.
 
Tonight's match features seven AVCA All-Americans, including Division II Player of the Year, Danielle Selkridge. Concordia boasts three First Teamers – Cassie Haag (Plymouth, Minn.)Kayla Koenecke (Delano, Minn.) and Amanda Konetchy (Victoria, Minn.)  and one Second Teamer – Ellie Duffy (Fridley, Minn.). Tampa has one First Teamer – Selkridge, and two Third Teamers – Meagan Burke and Holly Reschke.
