Concordia right handed starting pitchers Adam Kramer (fr., Wausau, Wis.) and Andy Fagely (right, so., Mahtomedi, Minn.) were tremendous. Kramer had a pair of tough innings but pitched through them and worked a season high 6.0 innings, allowing three earned runs for his first career win.
A.Fagely answered in game two with a complete game victory, surrendering just five hits and a walk while striking out six. He allowed three runs as well, and improves to 3-2 on the season.

game 1: cu 6, u-mary 3
The Marauders jumped out strong in the first inning with a leadoff double by Alex Deyle, a single by Duane Kiyota and a sacrifice fly by Tate Leapaldt. But they stranded runners on first and third as Kramer (right) worked out of trouble.
In the bottom of the inning, Lippincott reached on a fielder's choice and stole second. He tried to score from second on Stockton's single to left field but was thrown out at the plate, ending CU's rally.
Kramer worked a 1-2-3 second inning and retired the first two batters of the third before getting in trouble, allowing a two-out double to the right center gap and issuing a walk. But he again forced U-Mary to strand a pair of runners.
In the bottom of the third, and in their second time through the order, Concordia's offense struck, just like the first two games of the series. Back-to-back two run singles by Stockton and bouts (right) followed an rbi single by Lippincott as cu took a 5-1 lead for the freshman right hander.
Kramer didn't pitch well with the lead initially, though, giving up a leadoff single and a two-run homer in the fourth inning. He allowed two more hits before getting the next three out and settling into a groove in the middle innings.
Concordia added an insurance run for kramer in the bottom of the fourth and that was all he needed. Kramer retired nine straight batters, striking out two of the last three he would face before giving way to anderson in the seventh.
Anderson issued a one-out walk in the seventh, but induced a 4-6-3 double play to end the game (pictured below).
game 2: cu 7, u-mary 3
Unlike the previous three games of the series, Concordia's offense didn't waste time as they scored three runs in the first inning with an rbi single by bouts and a two run single by freshman first baseman Elliot Powell (right, Minnetonka, Minn.).
Lippincott added a leadoff home run in the third with powell delivering an rbi single later in the inning for a 5-0 lead. Lippincott would hit a sacrifice fly to drive in another run in the fourth inning as well for a 6-0 lead.
On the mound, A. Fagely was in a groove. He struck out the first two batters of the game and allowed only one hit in the first four innings.
With the big lead, he allowed a two run homer in the fifth, and leadoff doubles in the sixth and seventh innings but U-Mary only scored once off the doubles. He got stronger in the late innings, retiring the final nine batters of the game.
Powell went 2-4 with three rbi in the game while Lippincott was 2-2 with three runs and two rbi with the homer.
