The win was number 300 for head coach brady starkey, who has picked up 300 wins in nine years as a head coach. The win plus the second straight loss for minnesota duluth, meant cu will share the nsic title with the bulldogs. It is the ninth straight season cu is an nsic champion.

megan carlson (andover, minn.) had 13 digs as the only cu player with double-digit digs on the afternoon.
amanda konetchy (victoria, minn.) had 42 assists as she led cu to .349 hitting on the day.
cassie haag (plymouth, minn.) hit .643 with nine kills in the match.
in set one, cu led by just one at 15-14 midway through the set. Cu scored four straight to open up a 19-14 lead. U-mary was not able to get back in the set as cu took it 25-19.
concordia trailed 5-2 early in the second set before six straight points forced mary to call a time out down 8-5. The marauders stayed within three at 12-9 but could not get over the hump as cu scored seven straight in the middle of the set to take a commanding 19-8 lead. The golden bears won the set 25-12.
the golden bears flexed their muscle in set three, jumping out to a 10-4 lead. The set kept going in cu's favor as the leas was as big as 23-7 late in the set. Mary tried to muster a little comeback, but fell short as the score finished at 25-12 in favor of cu.
