concordia honored seniors taylor fieldsted (lakeville, minn.) and megan carlson (andover, minn.) who are now 128-5 in their cu career. They also made noise in the match adding a combined 25 digs to help the defense. Carlson had 14 digs along with eight kills and fieldsted had 11 digs, eight in the first set alone.
freshman ashley murtha (apple valley, minn.) had eight kills as well, hitting .538 on the evening. amanda konetchy (victoria, minn.) had 34 assists on the evening as concordia had 38 kills a season low. katie habeck (farmington, minn.) had five kills and four blocks on the evening.
the first set was a defensive battle as the teams combined for 37 digs, which was more digs than sets two and three combined. Concordia used six service errors and seven attack errors from bsu to take the set 25-12.
in the second set concordia hit .348 and took control early leading 12-3 after a murtha service ace. The beavers never recovered as cu took the set 25-11.
