cu tried to get on the board early when brittany kapala sent a shot on goal that was saved by alison wanner in the fourth minute of the match. Kapala had another chance denied in the 32nd minutes as well. Stimson got a deflection off the dragons keeper and put the ball in the back of the net with just 40 seconds left in the half.

late half drama was a theme in saturday's match as cu second goal came in the 83rd minute. Stimson found brittany kapala who beat the keeper for her third goal in four matches.

stimson has scored eight goals this season along with three assists. Kapala has now scored three times in her freshman campaign. megan kurtz had her first career clean sheet and got her second win of the season, she had two saves in the win.
