hall was solid in his second appearance of the year, working four full innings, allowing a run on four hits while striking out three and walking one.
the loss was charged to junior ryan rodeck (rhp, lino lakes, minn.) who pitched 2.0 innings and to the first two batters in the third, allowing seven earned runs. Rodeck was solid in relief earlier on the spring trip, and has shown excellent stuff in his two relief appearances. His two starts, however, is where he has picked up his 0-2 record.
aside from furrow, fellow johnston high school graduate troy dubay (so., urbandale, iowa) was 2-3 with an rbi and his third double of the year. Dubay's bat has emerged in florida, going 6-15 (.400) on the spring trip with all three of his doubles coming in the warm weather.
