the golden bears fell behind early as esu started the game on 10-4 run. Concordia tied it up at 18-18 with 6:24 left in the first half. Emporia state responded by closing the half with a 11-3 run and used a 20-10 scoring advantage in the first half to take their eight point lead in to the half.
to start the second have emporia extended the lead to ten right away and maintained an 8-12 point lead during their first three minutes of the second half. The lead got as big as 20 with 14:10 left. Cu got as close as 17 with 6:18 left but that was all the could muster as esu kept the pressure on and extended the lead to as much as 22 with 2:39 left.
cu was outscored 32-18 in the paint and 16-6 off the bench in the game. The golden bears were out rebounded 45-32 as they shot just 29.0% from the field and 21.4% from three point land.
zoraa quoie finished the game with nine points as she was the second leading scorer for the golden bears.
concordia will be home for the first time this season on friday, nov. 27 as they host northern michigan. Cu will be home again the next afternoon as they play michigan teach. Both matches will tip off at 3 p.m.
