stephanie schmikla had her best pitching performance of the season, pitching one single shy of a perfect game against the wildcats. The only baserunner for wayne state reached in the fifth inning. Schmikla threw in three strikeouts while the golden bear defense went errorless in the game.
the concordia scoring effort relied largely on the long shot, with all three of the team's runs being scored following home runs. sami mattson reached on a two-out single in the fifth inning and rounded the bags after nikki scherr launched a shot over the left center field fence. These were the team's second and third hits of the game. jamie lindboe gave the team further breathing room in the seventh inning and put her team up 3-0 with a solo dinger.

She was the only player to reach scoring position following the second inning.
