the first half of the game on the pitch in mankato was very evenly matched. The golden bears took six shots with two on-goal, both coming from freshman emily weimelt. The mavericks finished with six shots on goal in the first 45 minutes, but the pace of the game went even throughout. The golden bears had nine shots in the game, six from weimelt, including three that were on target but were saved. Three other cu players took shots, but only taylor campione put a ball on goal.
