The concordia softball team (10-4) wrapped up their 2008 florida spring break trip with a split against alma at the gene cusic classic in fort myers. The golden bears won 12-0 in game one, before falling 1-0 in the second game of the double-header.

freshman stephanie schmika (madison, wi) evened her record at 3-3 on the season with a 3-hitter in the win. Freshman sami mattson (esko, mn) wet 4-4 with a double, while sophomore josie olson (columbia heights, mn) was 3-3 in the game.

game 2 - alma 1, cu 0
junior jenny kaminski (columbia heights, mn) suffered her first loss of the season in one of her best pitching performances of her career. Kaminski allowed a leadoff homerun to give alma a 1-0. She would surrender just one more hit as she falls to 6-1 on the year. She would also only give up one walk in the game as the bears offense also struggled with just two hits of their own.
