junior guard jamie jones (mounds view, minn.) couldn't be stopped in the second half as she finished the night with 22 points, shooting a blazing 10-13 from the floor while adding four assists in 35 minutes.

sophomore zoraa quoie (woodbury, minn.) added 16 points and was hot early before finishing 7-16 from the field but her dynamic athleticism produced six steals on the defensive end.

ana wurtz led winona state with 22 points but the warrior bench only provided seven points of spark.

concordia's defense held wsu under 40 percent from the floor (39.7) for the game while the offense shot 53.8 percent for the night. Free throw shooting kept winona close as the warriors converted all but one of their 15 attempts at the line while cu was ineffective from the stripe, hitting only five of 12.

concordia will open their home northern sun slate next weekend at the gangelhoff center as they entertain minnesota, crookston and #22 msu moorhead.
