concordia, who was cold throughout, got hot down the stretch, hitting five of their nine three-pointers in the last five minutes in the strong comeback. Junior forward craig heiman (marshall, wis.) was held scoreless in just nine first half minutes due to foul trouble in the opening frame, but finished with 15 points, hitting 6-10 from the floor and 3-4 from long distance.

as a team, concordia buried 7-12 from three-point range in the second half and hit 9-17 for the game. The golden bears shot just 29.6 percent (8-27) in the first half, including a bitter cold start on the west coast by hitting one of their first 11.

in the second half, concordia turned it around, missing only 11 times total in 28 attempts to shoot 60.7 percent from the floor.

four golden bears scored in double-figures, with cunningham, a junior guard from minneapolis, minn., and senior guard matt cadwell (st. Paul, minn.) each scoring 12. alex thomas led sfsu with 15 points and five rebounds as san francisco state also produced four players in double-digits without anyone scoring more than 15.

concordia's bench produced a second-straight productive outing, with junior quentin barfield (milwaukee, wis.) and sophomore forward matt hackl (seymour, wis.) each dropping in eight points.

barfield had a key steal leading to an assist of a ricks layup with 45 seconds to play that gave concordia their only lead of the game, 67-66.
