The concordia soccer team (2-8-2, 0-1 nsic) dropped a 3-1 decision on the road sunday afternoon to msu moorhead (6-6, 1-0 nsic). Senior
hillary johnson scored in the 17th minute to give the bears a lead off an assist by
sam voeller.
the bears would hold the slight 1-0 lead into the break and through most of the second half. Msu moorhead would score two quick goals in the 70th and 75th minute to take a 2-0 lead and put an insurance goal on the board with nine seconds left in the game to secure their fourth straight win.
concordia outshot the dragons 15-13 in the game and 11-9 on goal.
keyton wheelock took the loss in net for the bears, stopping six msum shots in the game. Alison wanner earned the win for msu moorhead stopping ten shots on goal.
the bears return to action on oct. 6th when they travel to bemidji state. Game time is set for 1:00.
