The bears put a well-rounded offensive attack together as concordia (17-2, 7-1 nsic) got past northern state (8-7, 3-4 nsic) in four games on the road saturday night. The bears won 30-22, 30-21, 30-32, 30-22.
five players posted double-figure kill performances, led by
whitney meierrotto's double-double with 16 kills and 17 digs.
emily palkert posted another solid outing with 15 kills and seven block assists.
maria steinhagen and
sadie kessler each had 13 kills and kate bennett ten.
maggie mcnamara had a double-double of her own with 70 assists and 11 digs. She guided the concordia offense as the team hit .232 with 70 kills, 27 errors in 185 attempts. They held northern state to a .153 hitting with 53 kills, 26 errors in 176 attempts.
as a team, the bears had nine team blocks compared to 9.0 to the wolves 7.5 and 81 digs to nsu's 76.
mary slinger led the bears with 23 digs, while
krista erickson had 11.
concordia will return home on tuesday, oct. 2, as minnesota crookston visits the gangelhoff center in nsic action.
