amanda behnke matched her career-high for the second time in the last three games, pouring in 29 points to lead concordia university (13-8, 10-2 nsic) to a 90-68 victory over bemidji state (11-10, 7-6 nsic) on saturday evening at the gangelhoff center.
behnke shot 10-17 from the floor and 9-13 at the free throw line and narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds. She also had two assists, a steal and a block for the golden bears.
the beavers scored first but concordia took the lead 10 seconds later when junior
kelly lund drained a three-pointer. Concordia never relinquished the lead as they cruised to the victory and lund would finish with 14 points, hitting 4-7 from three-point range.

katie laviolette reached double-digit assists for the fourth straight game, equalling her career-high of 14 for the second time this season (third time in career).

concordia exploited the matchup in the post as behnke took the northern sun's leading rebounder, stephanie peterson out of the game completely. Behnke's aggressive offensive attack forced peterson into foul trouble early and she would finish with just two points and two rebounds after fouling out in 13 minutes.

candace olstad returned to the lineup and scored 10 points on perfect 3-3 shooting from the field and 4-4 shooting at the line.

mary schroeder turned in another solid performance with nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

megan kirchenwitz continued her three-point barrage hitting all three of her three-point attempts to finish with nine points while adding two steals defensively. Freshman
kali olstad added six points while
whitney smetana put in five points, hitting 3-3 at the foul line.
as a team, concordia drained 10 three-pointers at a 55.6% clip and shot 75.9% (22-29) at the stripe.
the golden bears have now won 11 of their last 12 games and are tied for first in the northern sun with msu moorhead, who concordia swept in their two meetings. The bears hit the road next weekend when they travel to northern state and the university of mary (n.d.).
