Senior jessica lucia recorded a double-double with 19 kills and 14 digs to lead #3 concordia-st. Paul (18-2, 9-0 nsic) to a 31-29, 30-21, 30-21 sweep over northern state (11-8, 5-4 nsic) on saturday afternoon at the gangelhoff center.

lucia also tied senior kelsey kyro for a match-high seven total blocks. Kyro finished with 11 kills and six digs in the match the day after becoming the eighth player in school history to eclipse 1,000 career kills.

the bears also continued their nsic winning streak, pushing it to 50 straight matches which is tied for the seventh longest conference winning streak in ncaa division ii history.

junior monica mcnamara and sophomore maria steinhagen each posted 10 kills as cu had four players reach double-digit kills in the match.

freshman setter maggie mcnamara also posted a double-double with 51 assists and 15 digs - both match highs.

concordia returns to action on tuesday, oct. 3 when they hit the road to take on st. Cloud state university.
