hillary johnson scored two goals in the second half of the bears contest with missouri western, but it was not enough as concordia dropped its fourth straight 3-2 sunday afternoon in st. Josephs, missouri.
the griffons jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half as missouri western scored on three of its first five shots in the game. Concordia freshman
ashley edge took the loss allowing all three goals, but did have six saves in the game.
the bears and griffons each had 17 shots in the game, but concordia managed only six on goal, while mwsu had nine. Johnson had ten of the bears 17 shots and five shots on goals.
rachel vitense had three shots and
cassandra rikkola had two.
the bears will be in action again on sept. 9th at northern michigan in marquette, michigan.
