The third-ranked concordia volleyball team fell to the #6 bulldogs of minnesota-duluth tuesday evening 30-28, 27-30, 16-30, 23-30 in ncaa north central region action. It was the bears second loss of the season as they fell to 16-2, while umd is now 17-2.
senior
jessica lucia led the bears with 26 kills, four errors and a .458 hitting percentage. She also had 12 digs to record her seventh double-double of the season.
kelsey kyro was the only other bears in double-figures with ten kills.
maggie mcnamara had 53 assists and
ashley olson and
megan graham each had 16 digs.
as a team, the bears hit .239 with 54 kills, while umd hit .385 with 70 kills. The bulldogs had four players record ten-plus kills, led by vicky braegelmann's 23. Umd also had ten team blocks, compared to four for the golden bears.
concordia will return to action on friday, as they host the university of mary in nsic action at 7:00 in the gangelhoff center.
