The third-ranked concordia volleyball team (12-1) swept minnesota state university 30-20, 30-23, 30-21 to officially brand the mavs on tuesday evening at the gangelhoff center.

senior jessica lucia (left) recorded a double-double, tying for the team-high with 14 kills while posting 12 digs. She also posted a pair of block assists in the competition. Senior kelsey kyro equaled lucia's 14 kills and hit .400 with just two errors in 30 attacks while recording three block assists and a pair of service aces.

senior ashley olson just missed a double-double as she smacked nine kills and added 12 digs while senior libero megan graham paced the defense once again with a match-high 17 digs as concordia out-dug the mavericks 56-42 for the match.

freshman setter maggie mcnamara, the ncaa division ii assist per game leader, set up another solid offensive output for the golden bears with 46 assists while the team hit .236 compared to msu's .052.

the bears held the mavs to a -.025 hitting pct. In game two and shut down their offense to just eight kills in each of the first two games.

the bears record their 10th sweep of the season with the 3-0 victory and have posted five straight. They return to action this friday and saturday evening when they take on winona state and upper iowa in nsic action at the gangelhoff center at 7 p.m. And 5 p.m., respectively.
