Concordia senior
Erik Quarberg went 4-7 with three home runs as Concordia rolled to a pair of NSIC wins against Minnesota Crookston, 8-0 and 15-1.
The Bears bats accounted for 32 hits in the two games, while the
Geoff Bray and
Eric Utoft allowed just four UMC hits on the day.
In the first game, Quarberg went 2-4 with two home runs and three rbi and
Chris Duda (right) went 2-4 with a home run and three rbi.
Mason Reinhart was also 3-4 in the game.
Bray improved to 6-2 on the season as he pitched a three-hit complete game and striking out nine in the win.
In game two, Utoft pitched a one-hitter and the Eagles only run was unearned, while striking out three. Quarberg went 2-3 with a home run and three rbi in game two.
Bobby Meier and Duda each had three hits in the game as the Bears collected 17 hits.
With the wins, Concordia improves to 25-10-1 on the season and 11-5 in the NSIC. They will finish the regular-season Sunday in Crookston.
