#7 concordia university (16-13) saw their season come to a close on wednesday evening as they lost at #2 northern state 79-52 at the barnett center in aberdeen, s.d. In the first round of the 2006 nsic red baron men's basketball classic.
senior forward
ty thomas led the bears with 16 points in the game and was the only player for cu to reach double-figures in the loss. He also pulled down eight rebounds and had one assist.

jason birr added nine points for concordia and was 3-5 from the field and 3-3 from the stripe in the process while collecting a pair of boards.

rj allen and
aaron ackerson closed out their concordia careers with eight and six points, respectively. Allen was 2-5 from the field while ackerson hit 1-2 of his shots. Allen was 3-4 at the foul line compared to ackerson's 4-5.
junior guard
joey peel dished out a team-high three assists in the ballgame while junior forward
marlon walker had four points and five rebounds.
the wolves outrebounded concordia 48-33, again proving that the 2005-06 concordia team lived and died on the glass.
as a team, concordia shot 70.0% (21-30) at the free throw line but were able to connect on just 1-13 (7.7%) from downtown.
