The concordia softball team fell to gannon university 4-2 in their first action in fort myers on sunday morning, but bounced back to beat wheeling jesuit 11-0 in five innings in the afternoon.
the bears were held to only two hits in the first game, with the big one being a two-run home run by senior
kristin linell (left)
in the second inning. Junior
amanda yurek had the bears only other hit in the game, a double in the fourth inning. Senior kristen schmidt took the loss on the mound, giving up four runs on six hits with five strikeouts.

kelly schwietz each recorded three rbi. The bears scored 11 runs on oly seven hits, with eight coming in the second inning. Yurek and schweitz each had a double in the game.
the bears are now 4-2 on the season and will play gannon and mercyhurst on monday.
