Laviolette leads bears past minn crookston

Junior katie laviolette recorded her first double-double of the season with 16 points and ten assists (one shy of her school-record) in leading the bears to a 77-52 nsic win over minnesota-crookston on the road. Laviolette was one of four cu players to score in double-figures on the night.

the bears took the lead at 6-3 on a three-pointer by lindsey palmer at 13:58 of the first half and never looked back as concordia led by as many as 27 with 6:00 left in the game. Palmer finished the game with 11 points.

concordia dominated on the boards, as they outrebounded the eagles 42-22 and turned 15 offensive rebounds into 22 second-chance points, compared to only three for umc. amanda behnke led the bears with seven rebounds. She also scored 12 points, scoring in double-figures for the third straight game. kelly lund also finished with ten points and five rebounds in the win.

the bears shot 26-56 (46.4%) for the game and a season-high 18-22 (81.8%) from the free throw line. They held the eagles to 21-52 (40.4%) from the field and allowed only 11 free throws (7-11 -63.6%).
