st. Paul, minn. -the no. 4 team in the nation cruised to a 3-0 win in the quarterfinals of the nsic volleyball tournament. Concordia-st. Paul defeated bemidji state 30-10, 30-21, 30-14 as they advance to the semifinals to face the fifth seeded northern state wolves friday night at 7:30 p.m.
the golden bears won their 60th straight game over an nsic opponent and increased their current win streak to 16 matches.
the golden bears were led by senior ashley olson's season-high 16 kills and .519 hitting percentage (16k-2e-27ta). Fellow senior jessica lucia was the only other player in double digit kills as she ended the night with 12 kills and a .364 hitting percentage (12k-4e-22ta). maggie mcnamara dished out 40 kill assists in the match along with eight digs.
leading the beavers was brittany burns with six kills on the night.
bemidji state hit a miserable -.041 (21k-25e-97ta) while the golden bears .327 (52k-17e-107ta).
