senior ty thomas, a transfer from north texas, is leading the team and second in the nsic with 16.8 points per game. He has scored in double-figures in 11 of 12 games, leading the team in scoring in 7 games. He recorded season-highs with 31 points and 13 rebounds at minnesota duluth. He is also third on the team in assists with 26 and leads the team with 17 blocks (3rd - nsic), recording three on three occasions. kenneth pointer, a senior from killeen, tex., is second on the team and fifth in the nsic in scoring at 16.0 ppg. He has scored in double-figures in 11 of 10 games, with a season-high 21 (1 shy of career-high) on two occasions. He tied a career-high five steals against northern michigan and he has had four steals twice. His .809 (55-68) free throw pct. Leads the team and is sixth in the league and he is second on the team with 28 assists.
pointer earns nsic player of the week honor
senior forward kenneth pointer earned nsic co-player of the week honors with winona statersquo;s john smith on dec. 5. Pointer was named the mvp at the csu-pueblo classic as he averaged 16.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game to lead concordia to a 2-0 mark with wins over regis and csu-pueblo, including a 17 point, nine rebound effort in their 57-42 win over csu-pueblo.
marxhausen makes his mark
junior guard kyle marxhausen has scrored at least 17 points fvie times and has scored in double-figures eight times this season. Marxhausen recorded the teams second double-double of the season with 23 points and ten rebounds against un omha and is the second-leading rebounder with 6.0 rpg and he also has two nine rebounding performances. He has hit a team-high 18 threes. He scored a career-high 32 points at minnesota state, hitting 6-8 from long range and 8-13 from the field.
